Welcome to Andover Badminton Academy
Andover Badminton Academy is a thriving badminton coaching programme for children aged 5 to 17 years. Based on exactly the same principles that make Winchester Badminton Academy so successful, Andover has been operating for nearly four years.
We are based at Andover Leisure Centre, West St, Andover SP10 1QP
Below are the programmes we offer on a weekly basis.
Junior Badminton Coaching Programmes
Our ‘Rally’ programme is designed for children aged 5 to 10 years and completely new to the game. Children are coached by a team of experienced and qualified badminton coaches. Players are introduced to the game through fun games and activities designed to inspire and enthuse from the start.
Training days: Fridays
Times: 4.00pm to 5.30pm
Venue: Andover Leisure Centre
Our ‘Control’ programme is designed specifically for slightly older ‘beginners’, typically aged 8 to 12 years. Players are coached in the basics of the game and develop the knowledge and understanding of scoring and officiating their peers. Players from our Rally group may progress into this group.
Training days: Fridays
Times: 4.00pm to 5.30pm
Venue: Andover Leisure Centre
Our ‘Precision’ programme is for children who have developed the basics of the game and are now progressing into much more consistent and competent young players. Higher level skills and practises are used in training to build upon the essential aspects of the game learned previously.

Times: 5.30pm to 7.00pm
