Sunil coaches at our Winchester venue but also runs individual and club coaching sessions for both adults and juniors in Southampton. Sunil says “Working with young people and watching them grow into good players is an especially rewarding experience”.
Richard Peters
Badminton England Accredited Level 2 Coach and Managing Director of Winchester Badminton Academy
Richard became a level 1 coach in August 2021 and a level 2 coach in April 2022. As a secondary school PE teacher of 21 years, Richard has built up a wealth of experience of teaching and coaching many sports. Formerly Hampshire Badminton Association’s Development Manager and Westgate Badminton Centre Manager.
Hayley Fooks
Badminton England Accredited Level 2 Coach
Hayley has been playing badminton since the age of 17 and coaches at our Winchester venue. Hayley has been playing in local leagues for the last 10 years. Sunil encouraged Hayley to take up coaching and she became a level 2 coach in 2017.
Anna Showan
Badminton England Accredited Level 2 Coach
I’ve played badminton since a young age, including playing for England at junior international level. As a senior player now, I play for Hampshire and also compete in circuit tournaments in singles and doubles. As a coach, I have been involved in the running of local junior clubs and assisting to coach Hampshire Junior County Squad. I am full of enthusiasm to help young players enjoy and develop their badminton skills. As a player myself, I know the importance of a coach and am excited to have fun and do a little hard work!
