On 22nd November, Winchester Badminton Academy held another very successful junior badminton tournament for club level juniors in the Hampshire region.

The tournament, held at Winchester’s Westgate Badminton Centre attracted junior hopefuls from all over Hampshire and catered for over 60 children aged from 9 to 18 years. The event was a singles format and for the vast majority of the players, it was their first ‘taste’ of badminton competition outside of their own club environment. Here’s what some of the supporting parents had to say about the event –

“This was the first we’ve attended and my daughter really enjoyed it and learned a lot.”

Plans are already being put in place for the next event which will be held on Saturday 10th December. However, entries for this event have now closed due to the surge in uptake for the places.
